Increase Solids and Fluid Handling Capacity, Drilling Fluid Recovery, and Waste Reduction to the Max

The biggest challenge operators are facing today is the bottleneck at the shakers, the ability to drill faster and the shakers’ ability to keep up with the drill rates, also for those shakers to retain as much of the expensive drilling fluid as possible while keeping those fluids out of the waste stream. The MONGOOSE Max high-capacity shaker is the latest advancement in shakers, significantly increasing solids and fluid handling capacity by 35%, and fluid recovery by 40%. With the integration of the new vacuum technology, the overall oil on cuttings by weight average is 10% over the more than 18% with third-party shakers. The whole mud on cuttings is reduced by up to 40%, with the discarded solids passing 99% of the US EPA Paint Filter Liquids Test 9095B and lowering the solids waste stream by 25%.

As our industry transitions over the coming years toward fully decarbonized energy, we will be facing the imperative of answering the demand for conventional energy with new priorities on capital stewardship, increased productivity, and greater environmental sustainability. Investing billions of dollars in large new greenfield developments will become more and more difficult to justify. Operators will turn to their existing assets to connect additional resources and extract more oil and gas from them, with the priority on projects with low breakeven, low carbon, and short payback. Electrification of production systems will provide answers for this situation. But while operators fully understand the value of electrification for greenfield developments, its benefit for existing mature fields is less well known. This webcast will focus on the benefits of electrification for wells, subsea, and topside in brownfield applications.
