When you have many different systems, brands and vendors working together in your oilfield, it can complicate your operations. So today, many oil and gas producers are transitioning from simplistic single-well pad fields to more complex multi-well pads, in an effort to cut costs and increase efficiencies. The increase in size and scope of these more complex multi-well pads, however, has created much greater data and control requirements. This makes measurement difficult and can lead to higher capital spend for producers. In 2014, U.S. Well Services (USWS) took the concept of utilizing clean-burning natural gas to fuel electric hydraulic fracturing fleets by developing and deploying their multi-patented Clean Fleet®. To date, they have completed more than 8,000 stages using their Clean Fleet® technology in multiple oil and gas basins throughout the United States. The use of natural gas turbine generators, paired with electric motor driven pumps, blenders and other auxiliary frac equipment, provide numerous advantages over the use of conventional diesel frac fleets. Smartengo Running Expert: Deploying Digital on the Rig

Smartengo Running Expert is Vallourec’s new digital solution designed to enhance running operations on the rig and capture the value of in-field data. Building upon individual pipe traceability, the solution allows you to manage pre-tally, to supervise running operations and to track rig returns. In addition, by scanning the pipe as it is run-in-hole, it can generate a real-time digital well construction report with easy to access running performance analytics. What advantages does this bring? Fábio Yoshida and Calum Thomson will present the results of recent projects in the field which demonstrate how Smartengo Running Expert can improve operational efficiency, save rig time and accelerate time to first oil. The digitalization of the well construction report is the first step towards generating a digital twin of the well, to enhance asset management and ensure well integrity.

Frac-Hit Mitigation: Best practices for understanding and managing parent-child well interactions

There are numerous frac-hit mitigation strategies, including shut-ins; temporary abandonments; frac-and-flow; small pre-loads; high-rate, water-defensive fracs; and refracs. It’s important to note that there are innovative completion techniques to help with understanding and determining the optimal mitigation technique. In this webcast we will see how three completions technologies help you understand parent-child interaction and mitigate/avoid frac hits before completing your wells. We will learn how existing data can provide a map of well signatures can be used to identify parent fractures in child wells. We will also see how analyzing pressure, acoustic and temperature variation data in real time can warn you before a frac hit occurs.
