CGG has signed a strategic agreement to support dCarbonX in the subsurface assessment of its operated clean energy projects offshore Ireland and the UK, which include geothermal energy and storage sites for CO2, hydrogen and ammonia.
Welltec has been awarded a crucial role in a project funded by the US Department of Energy and led by the University of Oklahoma, to illustrate that near-field Enhanced Geothermal Systems can be successfully deployed.
The Walker Ridge program covers approximately 300 OCS blocks including two priority areas of significant industry interest. Advanced proprietary imaging technologies will be applied to this program to unlock the full potential of existing seismic data and provide significant uplift in subsurface imaging.
Given the current industry context, these awards reflect the continued high priority that clients have on digitalizing and thus enhancing the value of their legacy data.
CGG announced completion of the first phase of its multi-year program to deliver the largest OBN multi-client survey ever acquired in the UK Central North Sea and immediate commencement of the second acquisition phase.
The industry-first basin-wide survey represents Phase II in CGG’s Gippsland ReGeneration reprocessing and acquisition project. Blocks V20-3 and V20-4 in the newly released Australian acreage are covered by the project.
