Greene’s Energy Group (GEG) has named Gene Garber as chief integration officer. Based in Lafayette, La., Garber, who also maintains his position as senior V.P., will now also be responsible for the development and integration of operational programs, strategies and associated projects, to achieve strategic business goals and operational objectives.


INOVA Geophysical has promoted Tim Hladik to senior V.P. of Product Development. The transition was made when INOVA’s previous senior V.P. of Product Management, Glenn Hauer, was asked to fulfill the role of President and CEO for the company. In Hladik’s new role, he is responsible for the development of all geophysical data acquisition technologies at INOVA.


Seatronics Ltd., an Acteon company, has appointed Jeff Holtom as regional manager in the Middle East. Based in Abu Dhabi, Holtom’s responsibilities will include sales and marketing, overall Quality, Health, Safety and Environment (QHSE) responsibility, and general management of the Seatronics office in the United Arab Emirates.


Aberdeen-based technology development firm SPEX Group has appointed Nadir Mahjoub as COO, after over two decades at Halliburton, most recently as Qatar Country Manager. Mahjoub’s experience includes senior roles in a variety of locations including the North Sea, Far East and Middle East.

Matt Yacavone has joined Crowley Maritime Corp. as V.P. of sales and chartering for Crowley’s petroleum services team. Yacavone will be responsible for the planning and direction of sales and chartering initiatives, overseeing development of policies and procedures, coordinating and negotiating customer contracts, and developing business relations, particularly in the company’s articulated-tug, barge and tanker programs.


HB Rentals, a Superior Energy Services company, has promoted Glenn Aguilar to senior V.P. of Global Operations. Under his leadership, business units have been established representing major operating regions around the world, with its own sales and operations management team reporting into Aguilar.


IHC Asia Pacific, the regional headquarters of IHC Merwede in Singapore, has appointed Francis Tang product director for the Product Market Combination team, responsible for global sales and marketing of service and support vessels. Currently managing director of the Singapore office of a major international ship design company, he has extensive knowledge of the markets in which IHC Merwede operates. In his new role, Tang will lead the development of two new offshore support vessel models , the IHC Packhorse and IHC Packhorse-maxi.


Greene’s Energy Group (GEG) has named Jaret Garber as financial manager of testing and services. Based in Lafayette, Garber will manage financial reporting and analysis of testing and services. This includes management of invoices, financial planning, analysis and division financial performance and monthly closing. Additionally, Garber will be responsible for cost control management, bonus plans and earn-outs, mergers and acquisitions, and balance sheets.


BHP Billiton announced that Marius Kloppers will retire as CEO and director of the company. Andrew Mackenzie will succeed him and join the company’s board on that date. Mackenzie is BHP Billiton’s chief executive, Non-Ferrous. He has over 30 years of experience in oil and gas, petrochemicals and minerals. He joined BHP Billiton in November 2008..


Canada’s Antrim Energy announced that CFO Doug Olson will retire at the end of March. The firm will appoint Anthony Potter, a former employee of the firm, as its new CFO. Potter has more than 26 years of experience with international oil and gas exploration and development companies. He has provided strategic planning, finance, tax and risk management advice in senior management roles in the private and public oil and gas sectors.


PA Resources AB has appointed Tomas Hedström as its CFO. Hedström has broad international experience in accounting and finance from listed companies, and will be a member of PA Resources’ Group Management. He joins PA Resources from his most recent as CFO of Rottneros AB.


Devin International, a subsidiary of Greene’s Energy Group, has named Buck Evans as special operations coordinator. Based in Lafayette, La., Evans will coordinate and execute all special projects involving Devin’s motion compensation equipment—domestic and international.


TAM International has appointed Mike Machowski to COO of international operations. Machowski previously held executive leadership positions within the company. As COO, he will focus on enhancing and improving the international locations’ capabilities in order to execute TAM’s global business strategy and objectives. In his previous position as V.P. and director of Canadian operations, Machowski established, managed and expanded the region’s sales and operation efforts.


Junior firm Victoria Oil and Gas has appointed John Scott as its new CEO. Scott, who started out his career at BP, has more than 30 years’ experience in the upstream and downstream sectors of the oil and gas industry, and in energy banking. He has served in technical and senior commercial roles with the British National Oil Company and Halliburton. He has also held various investment banking roles with Citigroup, Standard Bank and ABN Amro. With its operations focused on Cameroon and the former Soviet Union, Victoria noted Scott’s corporate finance experience in both West Africa and Russia.

 


Andrew Matharu has joined Tower Resources as V.P. of Corporate Affairs. He joins from Westhouse Securities, where he was head of oil & gas and focused on the small and mid-cap E&P sector. He has over 17 years’ experience in the oil and gas sector.


BG Group has appointed a new non-executive director, Lim Haw-Kuang, to help the firm with its activities in China. He has extensive experience across the international oil and gas industry, including long service as a senior executive in China.


UniversalPegasus International (UPI) has promoted Max Hengst to V.P. of Commercial and Marketing. Hengst joined the company in March 2011 as executive director – Commercial Division. His new role at UPI includes oversight of the day-to-day activities of the Commercial, Marketing, Communications and Proposals Departments. Hengst will be responsible for developing strategies and processes to align market and sector research; tender responses; risk management; and marketing; and communication functions; with UPI’s focus on growth.


Caldus Engineering has appointed Brian Green as its new managing director. Green joins the firm from First Subsea and has more than 35 years of experience in the offshore industry. At Caldus, he will develop the offshore market for the firm’s integrity management, high-pressure/high-temperature monitoring and control systems, and remote 3D seismic monitoring devices. Caldus specializes in downhole tools, subsea oil and gas and extreme geothermal engineering. The firm is a subsidiary of Norway’s Badger Explorer.


2H Offshore, an Acteon company, has named Glen Jewell and Hanh Ha as additional directors of its London office. Jewell and Ha will join John McGrail and Alex Rimmer and will share responsibility for the management of the engineering activities and the continued success and development of the business.
