Rotary table reduces downtime

The LeTourneau Ellis Williams Company’s (LEWCO) model L-375 rotary table provides a 37-1/2-in. opening and 20 gallons of oil capacity. Its companion, model L-495, has a table opening of 49-1/2 in. and an oil capacity of 47 gallons. Both models offer an optional circulation pump for enhanced lubrication. Two independent, ratchet-type locks with accessible levers secure each table in position.

L-495 has a table opening of 49½ in. and an oil capacity of 47 gallons.

Internal access from the top of the rotary table eliminates turning the unit upside down for maintenance or repair, which reduces downtime. Durability features include a forged-steel fabricated housing, a heat-treated forged-steel turntable, and induction-hardened spiral bevel gears to withstand up to 50,000 ft-lb torque inputs at 50 rpm. Maximum rotation speed is 350 rpm for the L-375 and 300 rpm for the L-495 model.

LEWCO, based in Houston, can furnish a complete rotary-table package comprising table, transmission, and independent drive. The company’s rotary table transmissions are designed for independent table drives powered by AC or DC motors and feature a shifter-lock mechanism, spline clutches for two-speed operation (2:1 or 1:1 ratio), double-helical gearing and a cascade lube system with support feet. The transmission can be mounted upright or on its side. The company also fabricates a variety of independent drives for its own as well as other rotary table brands. WO
