bp Trinidad and Tobago (bpTT) has safely delivered first gas through connection of the initial discovery well at the Mento development, offshore Trinidad. The drilling campaign for the remaining seven gross wells on the platform will now begin, bp announced. Mento is a 50/50 joint venture between bpTT and EOG Resources, with EOG acting as operator.

Subsea7 and SLB OneSubsea have secured a substantial engineering, procurement, construction and installation (EPCI) contract for bp's Ginger project, offshore Trinidad and Tobago. bp’s Ginger development is located off the southeast coast of the island of Trinidad, at water depths of up to 90 meters. First gas is targeted for 2026.
