Enverus expands upstream data network with PDS acquisition
(WO) — Enverus has acquired four operational exchange platforms from PDS Energy Information, expanding its digital network for completions coordination, well data sharing, production reporting and produced water logistics across the U.S. upstream sector.
The transaction includes the Frac Interference Exchange, Well Data Exchange, Production Data Exchange and AquaTrade platforms. Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
According to Enverus, the PDS network facilitates the exchange of an estimated 80% of U.S. completions, drilling and production data, connecting nearly 800 industry participants, including most major energy companies.
The Frac Interference Exchange, which includes more than 400 operators, enables companies to coordinate hydraulic fracturing schedules, identify frac-hit risks, manage temporary shut-ins and improve wellsite safety across shared operating areas.
The acquisition also adds platforms that automate the secure exchange of drilling and completion data among working-interest owners and partners, streamline production data reporting, and support produced water management through AquaTrade, a marketplace designed to improve water disposal, reuse and trading across major U.S. basins.
"Adding these platforms to the networks Enverus already operates is a natural step, and it opens up possibilities for customers that neither network could deliver on its own," said Manuj Nikhanj, chief executive officer of Enverus.
Enverus said the acquisition expands its digital ecosystem beyond commercial workflows into operational field data, linking completions, production and water management with existing revenue, joint-interest billing and procurement systems.
The exchange services will continue operating as additional capabilities are integrated into the Enverus platform over time.
