SENS launches SuperTorque 8ZR starting system for mission-critical generators
(WO) — Stored Energy Systems (SENS) has introduced the SuperTorque 8ZR, a factory-packaged DC genset engine starting system designed to improve reliability and reduce costs for mission-critical generator applications.
The 8ZR system, engineered and manufactured at SENS’s ISO 9001:2015-certified facility in Longmont, Colorado, is targeted at facilities where continuous power is essential, including data centers, hospitals, and oil and gas operations. Unlike traditional multi-vendor setups, the 8ZR integrates all components into a single package, minimizing failure points and reducing space requirements by up to 90%.
Key features include a 10-year full replacement warranty, maintenance-free operation, 96% lower lifetime greenhouse gas emissions, and more than 50% cost savings over a 10-year period.
“The 8ZR streamlines installation by reducing the number of on-site connections and manual integration steps,” said Olen Scott, chief revenue officer for SENS. “This efficiency-focused solution eliminates potential failure points and saves eight labor hours per generator enclosure. The 8ZR is the simplest and most reliable engine starting system on the market today.”
According to SENS, the new system supports efforts to safeguard uptime, simplify operations, and meet growing demands for resilient power infrastructure.
