August 20, 2024

(WO) – OceanMight announced the sail-away of three topsides and three substructures for the MLNG FaS project. The development includes the F22,F27, and Selasih gas fields offshore Malaysia.

The MLNG FaS project, part of the MLNG Production Sharing Contract (PSC), is operated by Sarawak Shell Berhad (Shell) with partners PETRONAS Carigali Sdn Bhd (PCSB) and Petroleum Sarawak Exploration & Production Sdn Bhd (PSEP).

The project began with the first steel cut on April 12, 2023, under an Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) contract for standard wellhead platforms for the MLNG FaS gas fields.

The three wellhead platforms, combined more than 5,700 metric tonnes, were fabricated at OceanMight Fabrication Yard at Jalan Bako in Kuching.

To celebrate the sail-away of the completed structures for the MLNG FaS project, OceanMight hosted a ceremony in July at its Fabrication Yard in Bako. The event was attended by prominent figures, including Shell Malaysia Country Chair Siti Hurrairah Sulaiman, senior management from Sarawak Shell, PCSB, PSEP, and KKB founder and executive chairman Dato Sri Kho Kak Beng.
