Lundin completes Imbok exploration well, offshore Malaysia

STOCKHOLM, Sweden -- Lundin Malaysia, a wholly owned subsidiary of Lundin Petroleum, has completed the Imbok-1 exploration well in Block SB307/308, offshore East Malaysia.

The well was targeting hydrocarbons in Miocene aged sands. It encountered minor oil shows and was plugged and abandoned.

Imbok-1 was drilled with the West Prospero jackup rig.

Lundin Malaysia holds an 85% working interest in SB307/308. Its partner is PETRONAS Carigali Sdn Bhd with a 15% working interest. Lundin Malaysia operates six blocks in Malaysia—PM307, PM319, PM308A, PM328, SB307/308 and SB303.
