Logging technology ensures operational efficiency

READ Cased Hole has launched its latest logging technology, ZeroTime. The technology has been tested extensively under harsh North Sea conditions, establishing a track record for operational efficiency along the way. As a logging-while-working solution, ZeroTime facilitates diagnostic data to be acquired during high-force mechanical interventions. By integrating into almost any bottomhole assembly, it eliminates the need for stand-alone logging runs. This simplifies well interventions and delivers critical, decision-enabling answers in a significantly reduced time frame.

Software suite helps generate accurate production estimates

Emerson Process Management has launched Roxar Tempest 7.2, the latest version of its integrated reservoir engineering software suite. The software can be applied in a wide variety of scenarios, including field appraisal, field optimization and brownfield development. It comes with significant enhancements to its history matching and uncertainty analysis module, Tempest ENABLE, which helps operators generate accurate production estimates and minimize financial risk. The software suite includes the Roxar App Connector, which allows users to set up a complex, multi-application description of their reservoir that can be used in ensemble-based workflows. Additionally, it comes with enhancements to its Tempest MORE and Tempest VIEW modules, including more stable well control, modeling threshold and breakthrough pressures.

Repair system extends service life

Cortec’s High Performance Repair System (HPRS) is designed to greatly reduce a structure’s corrosion rate and extend useful service life. The multifunctional and compatible protection system maximizes the concentration of migrating corrosion inhibitor (MCI) molecules for the most effective repairs. It utilizes a special sequence to maximize performance of MCI in concrete repairs. The HPRS maintains structural integrity, rehabilitates vulnerable structures, and alleviates environmental concerns.

Coiled Tubing Services deliver accurate downhole measurements

Spectrum Real-Time Coiled Tubing Services have been introduced by Halliburton’s Production Solutions business line. The suite of services is designed to deliver more accurate downhole measurements and reliability, leading to a higher return on investment for completion and intervention operations. The services combine two complementary offerings: Spectrum Diagnostic Services and Spectrum Intervention Services. Integrating the company’s coiled tubing offerings with downhole measurement tools, fiber optic sensing and telemetry, these services deliver more accurate real-time data.

Filtration solution protects against corrosion

Within its altair range of filtration solutions, CLARCOR Industrial Air now offers a high-performing, E12-rated filter that protects gas turbines from salt and water in all conditions. Specifically developed for offshore facilities, the Static Offshore vCell filter is designed for extended periods of operation, while offering maximum protection against corrosion and fouling. It eliminates the risk of sudden pressure spikes and ensures reliable turbine operation. The filter system uses glass fiber media, which have a deep filtration layer that handles moisture and hydrocarbons better than filters that use other technology, such as ePTFE membranes. This is due to thickness and greater pore volume, which makes it naturally less prone to sudden blockage.

Inversion method produces high-quality images

Cegal has released Blueback ODiSl, a one-dimensional stochastic inversion method. The application produces high-quality images of reservoir property estimates and associated uncertainties. The method jointly inverts to both facies and rock properties by generating thousands of pseudo-wells for every seismic trace, with each pseudo-well constrained by rock physics and vertical statistical models. It then matches synthetic seismic traces with a number of color-inverted angle stacks. The algorithm does not require a low-frequency model, and no spatial constraints are needed. It is now available as an OCEAN plug-in for the Petrel platform. The technology was developed originally by BP, while the Petrel version was developed jointly by Cegal and BP.

Software enables optimal production decisions

Paradigm has released Reservoir Driven Production Risk Management (RD PRM), a combined software and services offering that integrates advanced rock, fluid and stress characterization to help users better understand how the reservoir changes with time. It leverages Dassault Systèmes’ SIMULIA applications, powered by the 3DEXPERIENCE platform, enabling optimal production decisions while lowering operational risks. The initial offering will focus on key challenges, including optimizing completion strategies in unconventionals and anticipating fault reactivation.
