NewTek launches free LVDT engineering resource for industrial, oil and gas applications

May 19, 2026

(WO) — NewTek Sensor Solutions has expanded its online technical resource center with a new library of frequently asked questions (FAQs) focused on LVDT position sensors and signal conditioning systems.

Available without registration, the resource is designed to provide engineers, system integrators and OEMs with guidance on selecting, installing, troubleshooting and optimizing LVDT-based measurement systems used across industrial applications, including oil and gas operations.

The FAQ library covers topics ranging from basic LVDT operation to advanced application support, including stroke length selection, signal conversion and system performance optimization.

Additional sections address calibration, temperature compensation, EMI/RFI resistance, installation practices and dynamic sensor performance. The resource also includes troubleshooting guidance for common issues such as noisy outputs, signal drift and wiring configuration errors.

NewTek said the platform also helps users identify suitable LVDT solutions for harsh-environment and hazardous-area applications, including guidance on operating temperatures, environmental conditions and certification requirements.

The company said the FAQ library is part of a broader effort to expand engineering support resources available through its website.

NewTek Sensor Solutions designs and manufactures LVDT-based linear position sensors for industries including oil and gas, subsea drilling, power generation, factory automation and chemical processing.
