Unique Group names Giovanni Corbetta chief executive officer

(WO) — Unique Group has appointed Giovanni Corbetta as chief executive officer, effective July 1, as the subsea technology and engineering company looks to build on its global offshore energy and marine services business.

Corbetta brings more than 30 years of leadership experience spanning the offshore energy, subsea, marine services, engineering and defense sectors. Throughout his career, he has led operations across Europe, the Middle East, Asia and the Americas, with experience in business transformation, project execution and international operations management.

Most recently, Corbetta held several senior leadership positions at James Fisher & Sons plc, including strategic advisor to the CEO, head of business excellence, managing director of the Marine Contracting Division and managing director of JFD. In those roles, he oversaw offshore and subsea operations, engineering services, manufacturing and global project delivery.

Before joining James Fisher, Corbetta held leadership roles with DOF Subsea, Hallin Marine and Saipem, where he managed complex offshore engineering and marine operations.
