(WO) — Aberdeen-based artificial intelligence company rahd·AI has been selected to participate in the Presight AI Accelerator in Abu Dhabi, positioning the offshore decommissioning technology developer to expand its presence in Middle East energy markets.

Jake Stride, CEO of rahd·AI

The company was one of 12 businesses selected from 376 applicants representing 62 countries and the only UK company chosen for the accelerator's second cohort.

rahd·AI has developed an AI platform that converts decades of historical well records into structured, traceable data to support offshore decommissioning planning. The platform links engineering data directly to its original source documents, helping operators streamline project planning, reduce engineering time and provide regulators with auditable documentation during approval processes.

According to the company, the technology has demonstrated cost savings during customer deployments and has the potential to reduce offshore decommissioning costs by as much as 35%.

The Presight AI Accelerator is designed for established, market-ready AI companies and provides participants with access to enterprise computing infrastructure, technical support and commercial opportunities across the Middle East. The program also offers introductions to government agencies, industrial customers and investors, including the $100-million Presight–Shorooq Fund I.

Jake Stride, chief executive officer of rahd·AI, said the selection validates the company's technology and supports its international growth strategy.

"Being selected as the only UK company from such a competitive global field demonstrates that we are solving a problem with worldwide relevance," Stride said. "The Middle East is an important strategic market for us, and this program provides unrivalled access to customers, partners and investors across one of the world's fastest-growing AI ecosystems."

Founded in Australia and developed in Aberdeen, rahd·AI currently serves customers in the United Kingdom, the United States and Australia. The company said participation in the accelerator will support its expansion into the Middle East as its fourth international market while advancing its goal of becoming a global provider of offshore decommissioning intelligence.
