Condor tops 16,900 boed after strong Uzbekistan well test

July 13, 2026

(WO) — Condor Energies has achieved record production from its Uzbekistan operations after the K-42 well at the Kumli Northwest field delivered stronger-than-expected test results, supporting further development of the company's Central Asian gas project.

The company said production averaged 16,921 boed over the past 72 hours, marking a new corporate high. The increase was driven in part by the recently drilled K-42 vertical well, which has now been tested and connected to production facilities.

K-42 was drilled to a total depth of 2,462 meters and encountered 26.5 meters of net carbonate reservoir across six intervals. Following perforation and acid stimulation, the lower 8.6-meter pay interval produced an average 11.2 MMscfd of natural gas (1,867 boed) during a four-hour flow test on a 1-inch choke, significantly exceeding pre-drill expectations. Preliminary testing also recorded a condensate-to-gas ratio of 1.3 bbl/MMscf, with Condor expecting condensate production to increase and water production to decline as the well transitions to sustained operations.

The upper 8.3-meter pay interval remains available for future stimulation and production.

Condor said the K-42 results validate its geological model for the Kumli Northwest field and will be incorporated into the design of four planned horizontal development wells—K-48, K-49, K-50 and K-51. Meanwhile, two drilling rigs continue operations on the field's expansion area, with horizontal wells K-43 and K-44 expected to reach total depth this month before entering production in early August.

The company reported second-quarter production in Uzbekistan averaged 13,851 boed, consisting of 80.7 MMscfd of natural gas and 393 bpd of condensate, representing a 17.1% increase over the first quarter despite more than two weeks of production constraints caused by maintenance and operational issues at third-party infrastructure.

"The K-42 lower interval reservoir test exceeded our pre-drill expectations by a factor of two and further validates the quality and development potential of the stacked carbonate reservoirs at Kumli NW," said President and CEO Don Streu.

Condor said it has identified an inventory of more than 50 future development wells across the field as it continues expanding production in Uzbekistan.
