IPAA strengthens leadership team with communications appointment
(WO) — The Independent Petroleum Association of America (IPAA) has appointed Abigail Miller as vice president of communications and strategy, expanding the association's leadership team as it advances policy priorities for independent oil and natural gas producers.
In her new role, Miller will oversee IPAA's communications, branding and strategic messaging efforts, with a focus on media engagement and stakeholder outreach related to U.S. energy policy and domestic oil and gas development.
Miller joins IPAA from the Interstate Natural Gas Association of America (INGAA), where she served as director of communications and led the organization's communications strategy across internal, external and digital channels. She also managed communications for the INGAA Foundation, which supports research and education related to natural gas pipeline infrastructure.
Prior to her work in the energy sector, Miller worked as a journalist covering infrastructure and other industry-related issues.
“IPAA welcomes Abby to help guide IPAA's messaging, media relations and strategic planning as we build towards 100 years of representing independent oil and natural gas producers in Washington,” said IPAA President and CEO Edith Naegele. “Her experience leading communications campaigns in support of natural gas pipelines and work with media are great assets as we put forth our vision for the future of America's independent producers.”
Miller is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
