ROGII upgrades StarSteer software for geosteering and subsurface analysis
(WO) — ROGII has released StarSteer 2026.1, introducing new geosteering, data management and 3D geomodeling capabilities designed to improve subsurface interpretation and well planning workflows.
A key addition in the latest release is a new well attributes management system that allows users to import, organize and visualize well metadata directly within the application. The company said the feature is intended to improve collaboration and streamline management of large well datasets across projects.
The update also expands StarSteer’s 3D geomodeling capabilities, adding enhanced property visualization, slice-view functionality and the ability to generate logs along well trajectories using geomodel properties. According to ROGII, the new tools are designed to provide geoscientists and drilling teams with deeper insight into reservoir characteristics and well placement decisions.
Additional enhancements include new layout-sharing capabilities for geosteering teams, expanded editing tools, improved seismic visualization performance and reduced memory usage.
ROGII said the release is aimed at helping operators improve geosteering efficiency, strengthen subsurface interpretation and accelerate decision-making during drilling operations.
