Oceaneering wins offshore installation contract for Egypt gas project
(WO) — Oceaneering International has secured an integrated offshore installation contract supporting the West Delta Deep Marine (WDDM) gas field development offshore Egypt for Burullus Gas Company.
The company said the award is expected to generate meaningful revenue in 2026.
Under the contract, Oceaneering’s Offshore Projects Group will provide transportation, offshore installation and commissioning services for a refurbished subsea umbilical and a 2,000-meter thermoplastic composite pipe (TCP) replacement flowline.
The scope also includes procurement and integration of the TCP system along with remotely operated vehicle (ROV) and survey services supporting offshore operations.
According to Oceaneering, refurbishment work for the subsea umbilical was completed at the company’s manufacturing facility in Rosyth, Scotland.
Offshore installation work is expected to proceed on an accelerated schedule as part of efforts to restore production at the offshore gas development.
“This award highlights Oceaneering’s ability to deliver integrated offshore installation solutions on an expedited timeline to restore production,” said Chris Dyer, senior vice president of Oceaneering’s Offshore Projects Group.
The WDDM development offshore Egypt remains one of the Eastern Mediterranean region’s key offshore natural gas producing areas.
