SLB OneSubsea wins HPHT boosting contract for Shenandoah field in U.S. Gulf

April 09, 2026

(WO) - SLB’s OneSubsea joint venture has been awarded a contract by Beacon Offshore Energy (BOE) Exploration & Production LLC to supply a high-pressure, high-temperature (HPHT) multiphase boosting system for the Shenandoah field in the U.S. Gulf of America/Mexico.

The award highlights continued investment in deepwater developments, where subsea processing technologies are being deployed to enhance recovery and improve production efficiency in challenging reservoirs.

SLB OneSubsea’s boosting system is designed to operate at pressures exceeding 15,000 psi, enabling performance in conditions that surpass conventional subsea equipment limits. The technology is intended to accelerate production, increase recovery and extend field life by improving flow assurance and reducing backpressure on the reservoir.

The Shenandoah field, located in a high-pressure, high-temperature environment, represents one of several Gulf of Mexico developments requiring advanced subsea solutions to support production optimization.

SLB said its engagement with Beacon Offshore began in early 2025, allowing the companies to tailor the boosting system to the field’s specific operating conditions. The project reflects a broader trend of applying subsea processing and boosting technologies to unlock additional value from deepwater assets.

As operators continue to pursue complex offshore developments, HPHT-capable subsea systems are playing an increasingly important role in enabling production from reservoirs that were previously considered technically or economically challenging.
