EWTC names 2026–2027 board to guide oilfield services sector
(WO) - The Energy Workforce & Technology Council (EWTC) has appointed its 2026–2027 board of directors and leadership team, following elections held at the organization’s annual meeting in Tucson, Arizona.
Ron Gusek, CEO, President and Director of Liberty Energy, will serve as board chair, with Lyndal Cissell, President of North America Land at SLB, named vice chair. The new leadership will serve one-year terms in officer roles, while board members will serve three-year terms.
EWTC said the incoming board will focus on workforce development, technology advancement and operational performance across the energy services sector, as operators and service companies respond to rising energy demand and evolving market conditions.
The council represents more than 625,000 U.S. jobs tied to the oilfield services and technology segment, which plays a central role in supporting upstream activity and overall energy supply.
Additional leadership roles include Lloyd Hajdik (Oil States International) as finance chair and Matt Armstrong (Baker Hughes) as policy director, alongside representatives from Halliburton, NOV, TechnipFMC and other major service companies.
