Subsea7 secures major offshore wind installation contract in Germany
(WO) - Subsea7 has been awarded a substantial offshore contract in Germany through its Seaway7 business, covering transportation and installation work for the Gennaker offshore wind development.
Under the contract, Seaway7 will transport and install 63 monopiles and transition pieces for the project, which is being developed by OWP Gennaker, part of Skyborn Renewables. Offshore installation activities are scheduled to begin in 2027.
Seaway7 will execute the work using its offshore construction and heavy-lift capabilities. Subsea7 classifies the award as a “substantial” contract, indicating a value in the range of $150 million to $300 million.
The award adds to Subsea7’s backlog in Northern Europe and reflects continued demand for large-scale offshore installation services in the German sector.
