TGS awarded ocean bottom node seismic contract in Europe
TGS has been awarded an additional ocean bottom node (OBN) seismic contract in Europe, adding to its offshore acquisition activity planned for the 2026 season.
The company said its node-on-a-rope crew is scheduled to mobilize in mid-summer, with data acquisition expected to run for approximately 30 days. The project was awarded by a repeat customer and will contribute to a broader OBN acquisition campaign that TGS is building in the region for 2026.
TGS said the OBN survey will support high-resolution 4D seismic data acquisition, aimed at improving reservoir monitoring and production optimization at offshore oil and gas developments in Europe.
