Dry frac sand added in West Texas as Permian activity rises

January 02, 2026

Wallstreet Sand Co. has launched dry frac sand operations at its Kermit, Texas facility, expanding in-basin proppant supply for Permian basin completion activity.

The new dry sand capability complements the company’s existing wet sand operations, allowing it to serve a wider range of operator and oilfield service company requirements as completion activity increases across West Texas. The Kermit facility’s location is expected to reduce logistics risk and improve delivery efficiency during periods of elevated demand.

The dry sand operation follows recent investments in equipment, infrastructure and workforce development at the site. Company officials said the expansion is intended to improve operational readiness and supply reliability while supporting evolving completion designs in the Permian basin.
