Chandler Engineering launches compact 6700-M Mini Flow Loop for friction testing

December 05, 2025

Chandler Engineering has expanded its fluid testing portfolio with the introduction of the 6700-M Mini Loop, a compact friction flow loop system designed to evaluate friction pressure in slickwater fracturing fluids under controlled conditions.

Chandler Engineering has launched the new 6700-M Mini Loop™

The new bench-scale system measures friction reducer performance across a wide range of pressures and pipe diameters, enabling operators to replicate field-relevant flow conditions. Powered by Chandler’s proprietary data acquisition software, the 6700-M continuously captures and analyzes real-time pressure data, temperature, and other key parameters to support accurate and repeatable testing.

With its low fluid-volume requirements, the system is optimized for fast quality-control evaluations, allowing service companies and operators to validate fluid performance before deployment. Its portable design also makes it suitable for field test laboratories and on-site well locations, where rapid fluid assessment is essential during hydraulic fracturing operations.

Chandler Engineering, a long-time supplier of instrumentation for cementing, viscosity measurement, reservoir analysis and HPHT applications, said the 6700-M Mini Loop extends its commitment to developing technologies that support efficient and reliable upstream operations.
