Aberdeenshire-based completions specialist Vulcan Completion Products (VCP) is marking a new stage in its global growth as its workforce approaches 40 employees and operations extend to nearly 50 countries.

Since its founding in 2017, VCP has evolved from a regional engineering firm in northeast Scotland into a global provider of well completion and cementing technologies. The company’s expansion includes new roles across the UK, U.S., UAE, Azerbaijan, Saudi Arabia, Vietnam and the Caspian region. Recent hires include QHSE managers for the UK and Asia-Pacific, a regional operations manager for the Caspian, and a sales manager for Sub-Saharan Africa.

VCP’s international operations are supported by more than 20 distributors and over 90 customers, with manufacturing and assembly capabilities now established in the U.S., UK, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Thailand, Indonesia, Singapore, China and India. The company said this localized approach allows for shorter delivery times, reduced logistics emissions and stronger regional supply chains.

A key element of VCP’s strategy is its partnership with Sawafi Al-Jazeera Oilfield Products and Services Co., a Saudi Arabian energy technology group specializing in drilling enhancement, intelligent completions and real-time reservoir analytics. The collaboration supports VCP’s goal of expanding product delivery and technical support in the Middle East.

VCP currently holds 57 active patents and plans to introduce a new suite of completion technologies in 2026. The company designs and manufactures a range of well construction products, including centralizers, reamer and guide shoes, float equipment, cement plugs, collars and cable protectors.

“What began as a small team in northeast Scotland has evolved into a truly global organization,” said Ian Kirk, director at Vulcan Completion Products. “Our growth reflects the strength of our technology, our people, and our commitment to working closely with partners wherever we operate.”
