FPSO Tamara Tokoni offered for redeployment to support fast-track West Africa projects

November 17, 2025

An industry-proven floating production, storage and offloading unit — the FPSO Tamara Tokoni — is now available for redeployment offshore West Africa, offering operators an option to shorten development timelines for new or ongoing field projects.

The vessel, currently moored offshore West Africa, has previously operated in challenging offshore conditions and has a track record of maintaining stable uptime and safety performance. According to technical specifications provided, the unit is configured to process 40,000 bopd, handle 66 MMscf/d of gas, and inject 15,000 bwpd of water, with 1.1 MMbbl of crude storage.

The FPSO is equipped with a 12-point spread mooring system for harsh environments and supports tandem or shuttle tanker offloading, making it suitable for a range of field layouts. Engineering documentation and class certification records are available, and the vessel can be reconfigured for project-specific topsides changes and mooring requirements.

A key advantage of a redeployed FPSO is schedule reduction compared with newbuild units, which can require 30–36 months to deliver. The Tamara Tokoni can be readied for deployment in an estimated four to six months, depending on modification needs. Redeployment typically presents lower capital costs as well, though commercial arrangements — including lease or lease-to-own models — vary by project.

The vessel is being positioned as an option for fast-track developments, early production systems, or brownfield expansions where minimizing downtime and accelerating first oil are priorities. Engineering teams are available to conduct integration studies for operators evaluating the unit for near-term field work.
