API, Energy Workforce applaud Trump's Day 1 orders to propel American energy
The Energy Workforce & Technology Council (EWTC) and American Petroleum Institute (API) have both issued statements applauding President Trump's swift and decisive action on Day 1 to unleash American energy.
"Americans sent a clear message at the ballot box, and President Trump is answering the call on Day One—U.S. energy dominance will drive our nation’s economic and security agenda," said API President Mike Sommers. "Directing regulators to expand access to resources, lift the LNG pause, streamline permitting processes and roll back heavy-handed vehicle mandates will help deliver a stronger, more prosperous energy future for all Americans. This is a new day for American energy, and we applaud President Trump for moving swiftly to chart a new path where U.S. oil and natural gas are embraced, not restricted.”
“The President's declaration is a critical step forward in securing our nation's energy future,” said EWTC President Tim Tarpley. “By rolling back burdensome regulations and prioritizing permitting reform, we can unlock the full potential of American energy production, create jobs, and provide affordable, reliable energy for consumers across the country.”
U.S. industry leaders have long advocated for accelerated action on federal onshore and offshore lease sales, permanently passing permitting reform to expedite infrastructure for energy projects and undoing the ongoing LNG pause.
“We welcome the President’s commitment to unleashing the power of American energy,” said EWTC President Molly Determan. “The industry stands ready to support these initiatives, ensuring that our workforce and innovative technologies continue driving economic growth while upholding the highest environmental and safety standards.”
Energy Workforce & Technology Council and the American Petroleum Institute both remain committed to working with the administration and policymakers to advance policies that enhance American energy production, create high-quality jobs, and secure the nation’s energy future.
