ExxonMobil, Helmerich & Payne take top U.S. drilling, customer spots in latest Enverus report

(WO) — Enverus has released a list of top drillers and customer rankings in the U.S., as well as detailed drilling rig analytics.

Top U.S. land drilling customers of Q1 2024 by footage. Keeping its spot at #1 is ExxonMobil with a total drilled measured depth (MD) of 4,230,025, a well count of 220, and an average drill rate of 1,530 ft. per day. ExxonMobil’s average rig count is 37, with an average lateral distance of 11,971 ft.

EOG, Conocophillips, Occidental and Devon Energy filled in the remaining four of the top five positions.

Top U.S. Land Drillers of Q1 2024 by footage. According to Enverus’ report, Helmerich & Payne took the lead spot with 15,407,202 ft. total drilled MD, a well count of 835, and an average drill rate of 1,471 ft. per day. H&P’s average rig count is 144, with an average lateral distance of 10,429 ft.

Patterson-UTI, Nabors, Ensign Energy Services d Precision Drilling came in 2-5 behind H&P.
