As an 8-leg platform, the Marjan platform is mainly for collecting and transporting offshore oil and gas to land for processing. It can collect and transport 24 million metric tons of crude oil and 7.4 billion square meters of natural gas, making itself the most powerful offshore platforms for crude oil collection and transportation in the world.

Moreover, it is taller than a 24-story building, weighs over 17,200 tons, and boasts a deck area equivalent to 15 basketball courts. Compared with its counterparts, the Marjan platform is configured with the largest and most sophisticated pipelines.

It will be employed for Saudi Aramco's Marjan increment project. After being put into operation, it will empower the oil field with the greatest offshore oil and gas processing capacity in the world.

COOEC is responsible for the construction, pre-commissioning and loading of this highly integrated large platform in line with the world’s most rigorous standard. For this purpose, COOEC has developed a self-developed intelligent management platform, created the "integration + visualization" model, and extensively applied cutting-edge technologies such as automatic composite welding and phased array ultrasonic inspection.
