TDI-Brooks completes geotechnical coring project offshore Mexico
(WO) — TDI-Brooks has successfully completed a geotechnical coring project for Geohidra in the Southern Gulf of Mexico.
The operation, conducted aboard the MV Laguna Azule, involved thirty-two Cone Penetration Tests (CPTs) using the Neptune 3000 system. These tests, performed in water depths of 30 to 40 meters, achieved penetration depths of 4 to 6 meters.
The Neptune 3000 Miniature Coiled Rod CPT System, employed in this project, is designed for high precision in challenging marine conditions. It has a push capability of 10kN and is suitable for water depths up to 3000 meters. Its compact design makes it ideal for deployment from smaller survey vessels.
TDI-Brooks provides a range of marine geotechnical survey services, including offshore, nearshore, and inland projects. The company offers various portable geotechnical tool kits for use on third-party vessels, including light and heavy coring kits with additional components as needed.
