The Energy Workforce & Technology Council (EWTC) and National Ocean Industries Association (NOIA) have both voiced their support of President-elect Trump's choices for U.S. Energy Secretary and U.S. Interior Secretary, respectively.

Energy Workforce issued the following statement in support of Chris Wright, CEO of Liberty Energy, following his nomination as the United States Secretary of Energy. Energy Workforce praised Wright’s leadership and his longstanding commitment to advancing American energy.

“Chris Wright is a visionary leader who has consistently advocated for advancing American energy,” said Energy Workforce President Tim Tarpley. “His groundbreaking Bettering Human Lives report brought to light the moral case for expanding American energy production to grow our economy and improve living standards of those across the country. As a dedicated member of the Energy Workforce & Technology Council, Chris has an unparalleled understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing the energy sector. There is no doubt that his expertise and leadership will make him an outstanding Secretary of Energy. EWTC looks forward to partnering with him to unleashing the full potential of American energy.”

As a recognized leader in the energy industry, Chris Wright’s nomination signals a renewed commitment to advancing energy policies that support American innovation and job creation.

National Ocean Industries Association (NOIA) President Erik Milito issued the following statement after President-elect Trump nominated North Dakota Governor Doug Burgum as the next Secretary of the Interior and tapped him to chair the newly-created National Energy Council:

"Governor Doug Burgum has a proven track record in North Dakota and has been a strong advocate for energy policies that prioritize domestic production and streamline regulations. His deep understanding of American energy resources and public lands positions him to tackle critical issues such as enhancing energy affordability, alleviating inflation, creating high-paying jobs, and strengthening the U.S. in the global energy marketplace. We are excited about his leadership and look forward to working with him to promote American offshore energy as a key lever to elevate America’s energy, economic, and national security."
