Saja Energy appointed official distributor of neotork downhole tool in Saudi Arabia

October 04, 2024

(WO) - Saja Energy has been named the official distributor of Neo Oiltools' neotork Vibration Management Tool in Saudi Arabia. This announcement follows Neo Oiltools’ recognition of Saja Energy, a Saudi Arabia-based provider of energy sector products and services.

The neotork tool is designed to enhance drilling performance and reduce operational costs, particularly in challenging environments. By optimizing the depth of cut, it allows for higher drilling parameters, ultimately improving the rate of penetration (ROP). Additionally, the tool protects the drill bit and bottom hole assembly (BHA), minimizing failures and downtime while enhancing safety.

Robert Borne, CEO of Neo Oiltools, expressed his enthusiasm about the partnership: “We are very pleased to work with Saja Energy to bring the only tool that can protect drilling operations against all four types of vibrations and torque dysfunctions back to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. This strategic alliance will provide significant benefits to the main operator in the region.”

With a successful track record of over 14 million feet drilled in 1,500 wells worldwide, neotork effectively manages torque from the drill bit and mitigates vibrations in both offshore and onshore applications. Its unique technology allows it to automatically adjust depth when downhole torque exceeds preset limits, ensuring continuous engagement with the formation.

“We're excited to bring the neotork technology to our oil and gas customers,” said Paul Day, CEO at Saja Energy. “Looking at the particular challenges operators encounter in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, neotork checks more boxes than any alternative currently available. Its reusability and ability to increase drilling efficiency strategically meet our customer's needs to reduce costs while improving performance – and supports our In Kingdom Total Value goal.”
