Newfoundland and Labrador energy sector celebrated at Energy NL Industry Achievement Awards Gala
(WO) – On the evening of Sep. 28, the Newfoundland and Labrador energy industry celebrated excellence at the Energy NL Industry Achievement Awards Gala held at the Delta Hotel and Conference Centre. Five awards were presented to individuals and companies that have made exemplary contributions to the Newfoundland and Labrador energy industry.
“Last night was an extraordinary evening for the Newfoundland and Labrador energy industry as we recognized the very best-of-the-best. Each of the five recipients has made their own unique mark on the energy industry and has contributed to the growth and advancement of the entire sector. I congratulate them for their achievements, while wishing them continued success for the future,” said Gerry Mayo, Chair, Energy NL Board of Directors

- Rising Star Award: Barbara O’Rielly
- Diversity and Inclusion Award: DF Barnes
- Business Growth Award: Port of Argentia
- Innovation in Environmental Sustainability Award: Eastern Composite Services
“It was an evening of distinction and pride as the Newfoundland and Labrador energy industry recognized the tremendous achievements of Energy NL’s Industry Achievement Awards recipients. More than 300 people - which included Energy NL members along with family, friends, and colleagues of the recipients - came together to celebrate five deserving individuals and companies. They are each truly inspiring, and it was an honor to recognize and celebrate their remarkable accomplishments,” said Charlene Johnson, Energy NL CEO.
Energy NL represents approximately 500 member organizations worldwide which are involved in the energy sector. Members are active in all areas of the supply and service sector and include a diverse representation of businesses that range from offshore supply vessels and helicopters, carbon reduction and sustainable technologies, health and safety equipment and training, engineering solutions and fabricators to law firms and human resource agencies.
