Program offerings. ATCE will be held at the Henry B. Gonzales Convention Center in San Antonio from Monday, Oct. 16, to Wednesday, Oct. 18. Over the course of these three days, attendees can choose from an impressive lineup of 45 technical sessions and 10 special sessions providing insights into reservoirs; completions; drilling; management; production and operations; data science engineering and analytics; projects, facilities and construction; and health, safety, environment and sustainability.
The conference will commence with an opening general session featuring industry speakers from EQT, Devon Energy Corp., Woodside Energy, and Chevron Corp. on "Expanding the Opportunities to Sustainably Fuel the World," offering a compelling glimpse into the conference's overarching theme—sustainability in energy.
Jarand Rystad, founder and CEO of Rystad Energy, an independent advisory, research, and business intelligence company, will be the keynote speaker at the luncheon on Monday. A well-recognized petroleum analyst, he will share his insights related to “Towards a Clean and Lean Future of Energy.”

The Future Talent Zone is a dedicated hub of activities aimed at inspiring and empowering students and Young Professionals to gain knowledge and make connections to thrive in the E&P industry. Startup Village Energy Startup Competition. On Oct. 17, ATCE attendees have the opportunity to witness innovation in action at the Startup Village Energy Startup Competition, where emerging startups compete for recognition and support. Taking place in the morning, the competition showcases pioneering energy startups presenting their groundbreaking solutions, technologies, and business models The day culminates with a reception and award ceremony in the afternoon, where the winners will be celebrated. The awards include Best in Show, $25,000; two Rising Star awards, each $5,000; and a People’s Choice, $3,000.
Exhibition Hall. A visit to the Exhibition Hall is a must for anyone attending ATCE. Featured are more than 200 exhibitors and an “Energy Transition Zone,” where you’ll find forward-thinking companies showcasing innovative solutions that are driving the future of energy. Additionally, make sure to drop by the SPE Pavilion at booth 630, where you can learn more about SPE and have your questions answered by knowledgeable staff.
For those interested in a behind-the-scenes look at cutting-edge research facilities, the Southwest Research Institute (SwRI) is offering an exclusive tour of its facilities on Oct. 19. Headquartered in San Antonio, SwRI boasts world-renowned test facilities and expertise that have served the oil and gas industry for more than 75 years.
