LONDON -- Energean Oil and Gas plc, the oil and gas producer focused on the Mediterranean, is pleased to announce successful completion of drilling operations of the extended reach well, EA-H3. The well was brought into production on April 1, 2019 and is currently producing at a stable dry oil rate of more than 1,000 bopd on a restricted choke.

The well was drilled to a total measured depth of 18,631.89 ft (5,679 m) and has penetrated 2,260.5 ft (689 m) of the Epsilon sandstone reservoir, in line with pre-drill expectations. Energean will continue to monitor and fine-tune production parameters to ensure optimal production from the well.

The EA-H3 well was drilled using the Company-owned drilling rig, the ‘Energean Force’.

The Epsilon field, is located at the centre of Prinos oil basin (N. Aegean, Greece), 11 km NW of the island of Thassos and 4 km NW of the Prinos field, the first productive oil field in the Aegean Sea, according to researchgate.net.
