ASHCOR announces high pressure low pressure flare

Chattanooga, Tenn. – ASHCOR LLC announced the public launch of its High Pressure Low Pressure (HPLP) flare system for primary use in upstream oil and gas applications. The HPLP flare system allows operators to combust dual high-pressure and low-pressure gas streams in the same unit, eliminating years of maintenance, headaches and installation costs.

The ASHCOR HPLP Flare System includes both high- and low-pressure burners, which offers site operators the flexibility and opportunity to save money they might otherwise have spent on the installation and operation of separate high- and low-pressure systems. The HPLP can function with both burners operating at once, or as a singular high-pressure or singular low-pressure unit resulting in smokeless combustion and a smaller on-site footprint.

“The ASHCOR HPLP flare is the foundation of a wider product line of flaring and combustion solutions for the oil and gas industry,” said Andy Smith, ASHCOR's CEO. "The HPLP Flare is a versatile system that offers an efficient and cost-effective solution for sites in need of smarter, safer flaring and flexible set-up.”

The ASHCOR Dual HPLP Flare System can be used for several flows and pressure ranges, and can also be constructed to use as a single high or low pressure flow. With scalable build options up to 50 ft, the flare has a dual capacity of 10 MMscfd and includes a single retractable pilot to light both burners. Its smokeless combustion promotes environmental stewardship by reducing the amount of pollution released, which in turn helps oil and gas organizations meet state and federal regulatory requirements. ASHCOR's HPLP flare also reduces hazard and protects employees, residences and resources near the site by safely burning off flammable gas.

Each flare is accompanied by innovative Flame Smart enhanced burner management controls and ASHCOR flame arresters that improve site safety and add a sense of reliability to the constant change and risk that occurs in the oil and gas industry.
