Exxon's Greenlee scheduled for keynote speech at SEG 2017 annual meeting
TULSA --Stephen Greenlee, president of Exxon Mobil Exploration Company and vice president of Exxon Mobil Corporation, will be the keynote speaker at the Society of Exploration Geophysicists 87th Annual Meeting. He will speak during the opening session and presidential address to take place Monday, Sept. 25 at 8:30 a.m. at the George R. Brown Convention Center.
In his current position, he has responsibility for Exxon Mobil’s worldwide exploration activities as well as geoscience functional excellence. He graduated in 1979 from Duke University with a Bachelor’s degree in Geology. In 1981, he received a Master’s degree in Oceanography from the University of Rhode Island.
He joined Exxon in 1981 and has held various technical and management assignments in Exxon and ExxonMobil’s research, exploration and production affiliates. Prior to his current assignment, he was president of ExxonMobil Upstream Research Company, where he was responsible for Exxon Mobil's extensive research program supporting its global oil and gas exploration and production business.
Greenlee is a member of the Society of Exploration Geophysicists (SEG) and the American Association of Petroleum Geologists (AAPG). He is currently a member of the University of Rhode Island Graduate School of Oceanography Advisory Board, the Alley Theatre Board of Directors and chairs the University of Houston Energy Advisory Board.
