Chevron names new head of Australia business

May 06, 2016

PERTH, Australia -- Chevron Australia said Thursday that Nigel Hearne, deputy managing director of Chevron Australia and its Australasia Business Unit (ABU), will become managing director of the ABU on June 1, 2016. This transition follows Hearne’s appointment to deputy managing director earlier this year.

In turn, the company said Roy Krzywosinski, currently managing director of the ABU, has been appointed to the new position of V.P. of engineering in Chevron’s Energy Technology Company (ETC) in Houston. Krzywosinski will report to Paul Siegele, president of ETC and CTO. His appointment is also effective June 1.

In his new role, Krzywosinski will have enterprise-wide responsibility for Facilities Engineering. As part of this move, the company is consolidating ETC’s Facilities Engineering department with the Upstream Capabilities Facilities Engineering group into a single organization within ETC.

“Nigel’s appointment reflects his strong downstream and upstream operating experience, combined with his proven record of leading large, complex operations, such as our Richmond refinery,” said Steve W. Green, president of Chevron Asia Pacific Exploration and Production. “He is well-qualified to position us for success as Australia commences operations at our world-class Gorgon and Wheatstone facilities.”
