CNOOC’s Kenli 10-4 oil field starts production

HONG KONG – CNOOC’s Kenli 10-4 oil field has started production, China's largest offshore oil company reported Wednesday.

The Kenli 10-4 oil field is located in the south of Bohai with an average water depth of approximately 15 m. In addition to fully utilizing the existing facilities of Kenli 10-1 oil field, the Kenli 10-4 oil field also included the development of one wellhead platform.

There are currently six wells on production, producing approximately 6,540 bopd. The field is expected to reach peak production of approximately 9,600 bopd in 2016.

CNOOC holds 100% interest in and acts as the operator of the Kenli 10-4 oil field.
