Twin Eagle acquires Eagle Ford crude pipeline

June 19, 2015

HOUSTON -- Twin Eagle Resource Management, LLC announced Thursday the acquisition of a 100% interest in StarMex Big Wells, LLC, a 42-mile crude oil gathering system pipeline in the Eagle Ford shale region that connects to the major long-haul pipelines in the Gardendale area. StarMex Big Wells will be renamed Twin Eagle Gardendale Pipeline, LLC.

Located in one of the Eagle Ford’s most prolific areas, the system is surrounded by several producers with substantial production and significant continued drilling plans. The pipeline system has capacity of 35,000 bopd and is backed by long-term, fee-based contracts with existing customers that are committed to ship approximately 24,000 bopd.

“The acquisition of StarMex Big Wells is exciting for the Twin Eagle brand as we continue to diversify our logistics and midstream service offerings to our clients,” said Griff Jones, Twin Eagle’s CEO. “We are looking forward to working with producers in the area to develop valuable gathering solutions to move their crude oil.”

With terminal locations in Elmendorf and Laredo that serve customers and trucking operations near Gardendale, the acquisition expands Twin Eagle's midstream footprint in the Eagle Ford and represents another important step in Twin Eagle’s growing portfolio of strategic midstream assets throughout many of the country’s major basins, including the Permian, DJ, Niobrara and Bakken.
