WICHITA FALLS, Texas -- The board of directors of the Texas Alliance of Energy Producers has elected Robert W. Osborne to the position of vice chairman. Vice chairman is the second highest elected position in the Alliance.

Osborne, who has been involved in the oil and gas business since 1971, serves as V.P. and 50% owner of Cobra Oil & Gas Corporation in Wichita Falls. Cobra operates properties in Texas, Alabama, Arkansas, Kansas, Louisiana, Michigan, North Dakota, Utah and Wyoming.

Osborne, a graduate of the University of Arkansas, will become chairman of the board at the association’s annual meeting in April 2016. He has served on the board of directors of the Alliance, and as a V.P. of the North Texas Oil and Gas Association, which merged with the West Central Texas Oil and Gas Association in 2000 to form the Alliance.

The Texas Alliance of Energy Producers is the largest state oil and gas association in the country that represents independent oil and gas producers. It has offices in Houston, Austin and Wichita Falls to serve its 3,000-plus members.
