Summit ESP marks 5,000th installation

October 14, 2015

TULSA, Oklahoma -- Summit ESP, an electric submersible pump (ESP) systems provider, has completed its 5,000th ESP installation during the third quarter of 2015 on a well for Denbury Resources, the CHSU - ML 13-09SH in Bowman County, North Dakota, at a setting depth of 8,400 ft.

Celebrating only 4.5 years in business, this North Dakota installation is the culmination of an extraordinary company transformation from just a few employees working at a single location to nearly 500 employees and 23 service and sales locations throughout the oil producing areas of the U.S. and Canada.

Summit ESP is now the second-largest supplier of ESP systems in the U.S. for downhole ESPs.

"Summit is a small independent ESP company with large ESP solutions," said John Kenner, Summit president and CEO. "We are one of the few oilfield service companies growing over 2014 in the current challenging times of the oil industry. We are managed and staffed by experienced ESP people who are focused fully and solely on ESPs and meeting the needs of our customers with the responsiveness and flexibility that can only come from a small company. Besides electric submersible systems, Summit has just initiated a 24/7 remote well surveillance platform with the ability to plug in to multiple SCADA systems.”
