GE Oil & Gas to establish new global headquarters in London

FLORENCE -- GE Oil & Gas has announced that it will establish its new global headquarters in London. Florence will remain the global headquarters for GE Oil & Gas Turbomachinery Products & Services, a more than $6-billion business and a key manufacturing and engineering site for the production of centrifugal compressors and gas turbines.

The new global headquarters will support the business and 43,000 employees working in more than 100 countries. In addition to Turbomachinery Products & Services in Florence, GE Oil & Gas is comprised of Subsea Systems (Aberdeen); Measurement & Control (Boston); Drilling & Surface (Houston); Downstream & Unconventional Products & Services (Houston); Lufkin (Lufkin, Texas) and PII Pipeline Solutions (Cramlington, UK).

GE Oil & Gas said it expects to relocate a limited number of employees, mainly associated with support functions, to London. The new headquarters will be operational in London starting in January 2014.
