PPE provider Mechanix Wear acquires OTEX to enhance worker safety technologies
(WO) — Mechanix Wear, a manufacturer of protective apparel and hand protection, has acquired OTEX, a developer of technology-enabled personal protective equipment (PPE), expanding its portfolio of worker safety solutions for industrial applications.

The acquisition supports Mechanix Wear’s broader effort to expand its offering of research-driven protective equipment for industrial, construction and energy sector applications.
Mechanix Wear, founded in 1991, supplies protective gloves and apparel to industrial and commercial markets globally, with products sold through distributors and retail channels in more than 70 countries.
