ELITE strengthens hazardous-area training with EUTEX acquisition across key energy hubs

January 13, 2026

(WO) — ELITE Oil & Gas (ELITE) has acquired the hazardous-area training business of EUTEX International, expanding its safety training capabilities across Asia and the Middle East.

The transaction includes EUTEX’s hazardous-area training operations, CompEx and IECEx-certified courses, as well as training centers in Singapore; Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia; Rayong, Thailand; Abu Dhabi, UAE; and Yangon, Myanmar.

The facilities deliver training for technicians, inspectors and engineers working in hazardous and combustible environments common in oil and gas operations.

ELITE said the acquisition strengthens its presence in key energy markets, where it already operates in countries including India, Singapore, the UAE and Oman, and expands its ability to provide certified training services across the region.

“By acquiring EUTEX’s established training business and network of CompEx and IECEx centers, we can scale our training offering and support industry demand,” said Ramesh Babu, chairman of ELITE, and Saravana Bava, vice chairman.

Under the agreement, EUTEX will retain its hazardous-area training capabilities in North America, including programs aligned with NEC 500 and NEC 505 standards, while focusing on expanding its product distribution and certification services in the U.S.

The deal follows the recent acquisition of EUTEX’s global hazardous-area inspection services business by K2 Energy Group.
