Select Energy Services rebrands, becomes Select Water Solutions to better service energy industry
(WO) – Select Energy services announced a corporate rebranding initiative on Feb. 21. According to the company’s press release, Select Energy will become Select Water Solutions in the first half of 2023. President and CEO John Schmitz said that the rebranding “more efficiently aligns our employees and field operations, consolidating more than a dozen brands and DBAs currently operating nationwide, while also simplifying our external communications with our customers.”
Select Energy was initially built “to service the energy industry,” according to Schmitz. While the company plans to continue their dedication towards advancing “new and sustainable solutions for customers and stakeholders,” the rebranding reflects Select’s expertise in sustainable water and chemical solutions for the oil and gas industry.
According to Schmitz, Select experienced “tremendous growth” in recent years, adding new products, infrastructure, services, and staff.
“At the most fundamental level, our business is all about making connections, whether it is about further uniting our teams around integrated water and chemistry, creating sustainable partnerships with our customers, integrating large infrastructure networks or being good stewards for the surrounding communities. This change prepares Select for the future as our business evolves and we assess additional diversification opportunities. Whether it’s molecules or pipelines or people, we are all connected by water,” Schmitz commented.
Select’s stock ticker will remain “WTTR” on the New York Stock Exchange. Corporate and financial reporting structures will also remain unchanged.
