Airswift boosts senior leadership team with key hire

August 02, 2022

Airswift, a global workforce solutions provider for the STEM industries, has added another experienced leader to its senior team with the appointment of Colby Clark as VP of Global Employment and Mobility.

Bringing almost 15 years of experience selling and overseeing successful PEO global services to small-to-large clients across sectors, Clark will be responsible for helping grow Airswift’s Global Professional Employment Outsourcing (PEO) service. Complementing Airswift’s recruitment services, its PEO offer supports clients looking to expand internationally by assisting with the compliant management of a remote workforce. This includes supporting taxes, payroll, and HR, among other elements.

The hire comes at a pivotal moment for the STEM industries, as more companies are moving towards a permanent “work from anywhere” strategy. This requires quality support services to operate in geographies where they do not have the required infrastructure.

Janette Marx, CEO at Airswift, says: “We’re determined to offer the best possible talent services to clients across the STEM industries, wherever in the world they operate. Our PEO offering is an important part of that, and we’ve invested heavily over the past few years, hiring tax experts, immigration specialists and weaving in some of our best internal veterans from within Airswift.

“The next step is to add another layer of experienced leadership, and we know Colby is perfectly poised to provide just that. We’re really impressed by his ideas and energy, which will be essential in helping us to expand our offering into an even wider range of industrial sectors.”

The most recent Global Energy Talent Index report revealed that 35 percent of the global energy workforce is made up of expatriates, rising to 39 percent of oil and gas professionals. This is in keeping with an industry in which nine-in-ten professionals are open to relocating overseas for their job, with opportunities for career progression the primary motivator for those considering a move.

Companies using Airswift’s PEO solutions can overcome many of the challenges faced by this globally mobile workforce by providing enhanced access to talent based all over the world. Professionals are able to work remotely, without needing to relocate, so that companies can more easily engage a deeper pool of talent than ever before.

Clark says: “Throughout my career, I’ve always loved working with passionate teams, driven and determined to achieve the very best outcomes they can for clients. Having worked with Airswift before, I know how committed the team is to providing the world’s best and most comprehensive workforce solutions offer. I’m hugely excited at the opportunity to play my part in delivering on the outsourcing element of that commitment, and I am eager to get started.”

This marks the latest in a string of strategic appointments for Airswift, which continues to grow rapidly following its merger with Competentia last year to become the world’s most comprehensive technical workforce solutions provider. The company now has over 60 regional offices, with a team of 800 from 70 countries, and over 7,000 contractors.
