2016 SPE President Nathan Meehan to keynote ShaleTech Permian conference
HOUSTON -- Former SPE President Nathan Meehan (2016), President of Gaffney, Cline & Associates, will deliver the keynote address at World Oil’s inaugural ShaleTechTM Permian conference in October.
Despite being repeatedly written off, the Permian basin has re-emerged as one of the nation’s premier resource plays. And with more than a third of active U.S. rigs currently operating in the region, the Permian presents a wealth of opportunity in the new oil price environment.
Dr. Meehan will open the two-day conference with a comprehensive overview entitled Technology, Sustainability and Major Energy Challenges of the Next Decade in the Permian Basin. The conference, to be held in Odessa, Texas, on Oct. 3-4, at the MCM Grandé Hotel, will feature high-level technical content focused on the challenges facing companies operating in the area.
