LAFAYETTE – Neither a steady drizzle nor the decline in the oil and gas industry dampen the spirits of LAGCOE officials, volunteers, exhibitors and their guests at the preview party on Monday, October 26 at the Louisiana Cajundome.

Guests enjoyed a Cajun cuisine of crab cakes, gumbo over rice, gravy over cheesy grits, bacon wrapped shrimp and other regional delicacies. The centerpiece of the party was a towering ice sculpture of an oil derrick. The attendees had the opportunity to stroll through the exhibit arena and greet colleagues and friends. Musical entertainment of Louisiana jazz and blues was provided by Q and the Wrecking Crew.

Prior to the LAGCOE preview party, Foster Marketing, Louisiana’s leading oilfield advertising agency, held an open house at its local office. Foster is celebrating its 35th anniversary this year.

LAGCOE 2015 will take place October 27-29 at the Louisiana Cajundome. The conference will have its official launch with an opening ceremony on Tuesday, Oct. 27 morning.

Highlights of the conference includes 10 Energy Innovators, who will exhibit from the Energy Innovators Tent on Tuesday and Wednesday and will pitch innovations to vetted investors during a pitch competition at 10:00 am on Thursday. Additionally, Young Professionals of LAGCOE will present LAGCOE Education Fund with proceeds raised from LAGCOE Sporting Clays Tournament.
