Weir Oil & Gas has named David Paterson president of pressure pumping. Based in Fort Worth, Texas, Paterson brings over two decades of experience to the role. Prior to joining the company, Paterson was president, artificial lift, at Schlumberger since 2016.

ConocoPhillips said that Matt Fox, currently executive V.P., strategy, exploration and technology, will be named executive V.P. and CEO. Fox brings over 30 years of industry experience to the role, including leading ConocoPhillips’ E&P operations from 2012 to 2016. In addition, Don Wallette, Jr., currently executive V.P., finance, commercial and CFO, will be named executive V.P. and CFO. Wallette brings over 30 years of experience to the role, and has lead ConocoPhillips’ business development function from 2012 to 2016. Also, Al Hirshberg, executive V.P., production, drilling and projects, will be retiring, after more than 35 years of industry service, including eight years with the company. These appointments are effective Jan. 1, 2019.

Daniela Freem and Karen Diaz have joined Petroleum Industry Data Exchange, Inc., as standards and compliance manager, and marketing and events manager, respectively. Prior to this, Freem was the audience development manager at NACE International. Diaz served as the marketing launch manager at HP. Each brings over 10 years of experience to
the company.

Aurecon has announced the appointment of its managing director, Australia and New Zealand, William Cox, as its new global CEO. Effective from Feb. 1, 2019, Cox will be based in Sydney. His appointment marks the end of current Aurecon CEO Giam Swiegers’ four-year term.

Chevron Corporation has named Steven W. Green president of Chevron North America Exploration and Production, effective March 1, 2019. Green, who is president of Chevron Asia Pacific Exploration and Production, will succeed Jeff Shellebarger, who is retiring after 38 years of service. In addition, Nigel Hearne will succeed Green. Hearne has been managing director of Chevron Australia and head of the Australasia Business Unit.

Rovco has named Paolo Cattaneo, Brett Laurenson and Alex Pretty as their business development team, bringing more than 40 years of business development experience to the company. In these new roles, Pretty will focus on developing new opportunities in the offshore renewables market, Laurenson will boost Rovco’s presence in the global oil and gas industry, and Cattaneo will work across both divisions.

Tim Mulders has been appointed business developer for Ampelmann, and will be based in the newly-opened Dubai office. Mulders has been with the company for the past five years, fulfilling project manager roles, with increasing responsibilities, in the Middle East.

TWMA has named Mohamed Galal as regional director for MENA. He brings more than 20 years of industry experience to the business, having held several senior operational and management roles within the global drilling industry. Prior to this appointment, Galal held the position of V.P., international accounts, for Weatherford International. He also was the regional manager and area operations manager at Precision Drilling Services for more than 10 years.

API has added Rolf Hanson as V.P., state government relations, to lead the association’s legislative and regulatory policy advocacy, throughout the nation, and oversee State Petroleum Council offices in 34 states. Hanson has served as senior director of state government relations since 2011. Prior to this, Hanson served at the Minnesota Chamber of Commerce,
as well as the Environment & Natural Resources Committee in the Minnesota State Senate.

The OPC Foundation has elected Juergen Weinhofer, V.P., common architecture and technology, for Rockwell Automation, to its board of directors. Weinhofer will help lead the foundation in its mission of creating the interoperability standard for the secure and reliable exchange of data in the IoT space and in other industries, thus allowing multi-vendor technologies to securely and reliably work together.

The board of UK independent Cabot Energy plc has appointed Rachel Maguire as an independent non-executive director. Maguire will be a member of the remuneration, nomination and audit committees. In addition, she is also the founder and CEO of investor relations consultancy Arko Iris. Maguire brings over 20 years of experience to the board. Previous roles include senior management positions at London Stock Exchange.

Wild Well Control has named Bryan Ellis president, succeeding Freddy Gebhardt. Ellis brings more than 20 years of experience to the role and, most recently, served as chief administrative officer overseeing all financial and administrative operations.

Piper Jaffray Companies has named James Baker global co-head of investment banking and capital markets. Baker will co-lead the group, and become a member of the firm’s leadership team. Baker has been with the company since February 2016, where he served as co-head of energy investment banking for the past three years. Prior to this, he joined Simmons in 2001 to help grow the firm’s midstream/downstream platform. He will remain based in the firm’s Houston office.

TEMS International has named Nicola Lomax QHSE manager. She will be responsible for the company’s ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001 standards. Lomax brings 18 years of discipline experience to the role.

Arvid Vabo has joined Frigstad Engineering to fill the role as chief technology officer (CTO), based in the Kristiansand, Norway office. Vabo has been working in the offshore oil and gas industry since 1985, holding various positions within field engineering and senior management. He recently served as senior V.P. at MHWirth AS.

Petrotechnics has appointed Bill Lutz, regional manager, North America; David Ross, regional manager, Middle East, and Sophie Menard, partner solutions manager, Middle East. Lutz previously served in global business development, sales and account management leadership roles for CPFD Software and Bentley Systems. Ross has been a member of the Petrotechnics team for six years, with progressive responsibilities in sales, professional services and projects, with a particular focus on the Middle East and APAC regions. Menard has been a member of the Petrotechnics team for nearly five years, with responsibilities in product management, partners, and solutions management.

Fluid Delivery Solutions, LLC has appointed Richard “Dick” J. Alario executive chairman of the board of directors. Alario’s career spans across the domestic and international energy markets, having held top-level positions across oilfield services businesses in the U.S., UK, Latin America and Middle East. He most recently served as chairman and CEO of Key Energy Services between 2004 and 2016.
